According to the Downdetector service, over the past day alone, more than 6.5 thousand users in the region have complained about mobile internet outages.
Mobile internet in Krasnoyarsk and several cities in the region disappeared on Saturday, and there have been no official comments on the situation so far.
Cellular operators stated that the issues occur for reasons beyond their control. The T2 press service noted that "the restrictions are due to security measures." "We cannot influence the lifting of the restrictions, and the timing is unknown to us," the company said.
Meanwhile, problems with mobile internet have affected the operation of ATMs and payment terminals, and many stores only accept cash payments.
Internet outages have recently been occurring due to attacks by Ukrainian drones. On Sunday, the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, reported a "decrease in mobile internet signal" due to drones. However, the Krasnoyarsk region was not included in the Ministry of Defense report, and nothing is known about drone attacks on the region.
